What was reported

FD-302 interview (conducted via Microsoft Teams, entered March/April 2025) with a U.S. military service member describing a February 2022 sighting. While walking from a parked vehicle toward a Fort Carson building with four other soldiers, he and all four others noticed a matte white/off-white, non-metallic, oval 'bean-shaped' object with a curved bottom indentation, hovering motionless and silently over a low point ('saddle') in Cheyenne Mountain for 3-5 minutes with no positional drift, covered in intersecting lines forming an abstract polygon pattern, roughly 10% the size of the saddle (about a pool cue at arm's length). None of the five had a phone ready; by the time one went to get one, the object had vanished and could not be relocated. The five independently drew what they saw afterward, and the drawings matched. AARO contacted the witness in early 2024 but never conducted a follow-up interview after his written response.
