El Bosque air base ceremony object

During a Chilean Air Force change-of-command ceremony, images showed a small fast object crossing near a formation of F-16 aircraft. CEFAA director General Ricardo Bermúdez presented the case at a UFO congress in 2012: an external panel had excluded a meteor, comet, re-entering debris, aircraft or bird, and an estimated speed near 10,000 km/h was quoted. Critics proposed an insect or bird close to the lens; a Cornell entomologist consulted said beetles fly too slowly to match the quoted speed but that the object 'could be anything'. The quoted speed assumes a distance the image cannot fix.

none established; a nearby insect or bird with motion blur is the usual sceptical reading
