What was reported

Workers at the Collahuasi copper mine photographed a silvery disc, which CEFAA put at about 10 metres across and 600 metres up, that they said stayed in view for one to two hours with vertical and horizontal movements; they submitted the images only in February 2014, fearing ridicule. After about a year of analysis CEFAA and the civil aviation authority (DGAC) classified it in 2014 as unidentified, excluding drones, balloons, experimental or military aircraft, and, with the meteorological office, a lenticular cloud. The witnesses are anonymous and no independent analysis of the original images has been published.
