What was reported

On 4 February 1977 fourteen pupils aged 9 to 11 at Broad Haven Primary School said they saw a silver cigar-shaped object in a field behind the school at lunchtime, and some said a silver figure with pointed ears came out of it. The head teacher, Ralph Llewellyn, suspecting a joke, had the children draw what they saw under exam conditions and was struck by how similar the drawings were. The children took their account to the local police, and the Ministry of Defence said it had no record of unusual activity; the sighting became part of a local wave nicknamed the 'Dyfed Triangle'. One witness still affirmed in 1996 that he saw an unexplained craft.
